Photos are ready! Sorry, we can't put them all on the internet but all the photos will be on display in the foyer from Wednesday. Enjoy!

And we're back!

What a return! Amid chaotic scenes at Aldergrove, our 25 super skiers (and their exhausted teachers!) were reunited with mums and dads who seemed to have missed them over the last week!

Thanks for leaving all your messages of support during the week - we've thoroughly enjoyed reading them. Thanks also to all the children - you did yourselves and Brooklands proud!

Of course, the biggest thanks of all must go to our group leader Mr Armstrong and also Mrs Bell and Mr Massey. Many primary schools are no longer willing to organise residentials, especially foreign trips, but we at Brooklands are extremely lucky to have teachers who enjoy these trips just as much as the children. As usual, Brooklands does it best!

Photos will be added as soon as possible!

Great success on the final day of skiing!

There was no need to be nervous this morning before today's big test because conditions were perfect and you'll be delighted to learn that every one of our P7s is now a qualified skier!

Tonight we will receive our certificates at a special awards ceremony and say goodbye to Jason and Papa Bear, the world's best ski instructors!

We had a great time at last night's disco and the teachers learned a few new moves! Lots of lovely presents are now safely packed in our suitcases ready for the long journey home. As you know, we are due into Belfast International at about 18.40 - we'll see you there!

PS Sorry for the late posting - the internet access at our hotel was down all afternoon!

Bumboarding is the best!

What a fabulous time we had last night! Bumboarding definitely became one of the highlights of the week as everyone screamed their way down the hill! Team Jason and Team Papa Bear were fighting it out to be crowned Kings of the Slope and Curtis was our ultimate bumboarding champion!

We awoke this morning to sunny skies - crossing our fingers had worked! Everyone was soon heading down the green runs and they are making great progress each day. Tomorrow will be their final test - the dreaded skiing exam!

Tonight we're off shopping for pressies and then we'll be strutting our stuff at the disco! The teachers can't wait!!!

Brrr!

After three days of sunny skies, the weather turned late yesterday afternoon and the rain began to fall! We had to postpone the bum boarding (hopefully we'll do it tonight) so instead we headed off to the bowling alley. Again, our training at the Ice Bowl paid off but a few people were rather disappointed to find that there were no bumpers down the sides!!!

This morning we awoke to snow showers and a freezing wind but there were no complaints from our super skiers and they were soon heading off down the green runs. Despite the difficult conditions, everyone had an excellent day and we have our fingers crossed for drier weather tomorrow!

Best day so far!

After two day's hard work learning all the basics, today every single child was able to ski all the way from the top to the bottom of the mountain! A fantastic achievement and we are very proud of everyone! Our instructors, Jason and Papa Bear, say that we are the best groups ever!!!

We witnessed some future stars at last night's ice skating - all the training at the Icebowl has certainly paid off! Tonight it's time for one of the highlights of our week - bumboarding.

Thanks for all your comments - keep them coming!

Are you all jealous yet?

Did anyone manage to look at today's webcams? If so, you may have noticed the fantastic fresh snow that fell last night and the glorious sunshine that greeted us yet again today. It certainly didn't feel like a Monday morning back at school!

Our ski instructors were very impressed with the progress made by everyone today and we plan to spend all day Tuesday at the top of the mountain, enjoying the fabulous views.

Tonight we're off to the outdoor ice skating rink.

Don't forget to leave us a comment!

A super first day!

Despite the lack of sleep, everyone had a fantastic first day on the slopes! We woke up to fresh snow and glorious sunshine and soon all the P7s were learning the most important lesson of all - how to slow down and stop!!!

With any luck, we'll be heading up on the lifts to the very top of the mountain tomorrow!

Tonight we're having a quiet night exploring the hotel's facilities and then it'll be an early night for everyone!

We have arrived at last

We have arrived safely at 6.15am after a long journey. Managed to get an hour and half sleep before the skiing has begun! Everyone is out on the slopes skiing and doing really well already. The snow is good and the sun is out.
